As per the recent reports, allied forces of KNDF (Karenni Nationalities Defense Force) and PDF terrorists killed and tortured Pa-O ethnic civilians and Pa-O Buddhist monks, and torn down the Pa-O Buddhist monasteries and religious buildings last weeks. 

The above-mentioned massacre happened at the village, namely #Nam_Nain where Pa-O ethnics are living on the border of Shan State and Kayah State located in Pinlaung Township since February 24. 

Rumours and disinformation were spread through by exiled news media that the State armed forces (Tatmadaw) and Pa-O Army did it; however, photos and video footages were revealed that the #genocide_against_Pa_O ethnics was committed by the #terrorists_KNDF_PDFs.

Pa-O National Organization/ Pa-O National Army (PNO/PNA) denounced on the ruthless massacre on Pa-O civilians and members of Sangha committed by KNDF and PDF terrorists.

The Pa-O National Organization issued the denouncement on the abovementioned massacre on 14th March. 

The condemnation statement stated that the terrorists KNDF and PDF intruded into Taung Mae Village, Lone Pyin Village, Pin Pann Village and Nam Nain Village on 23rd February 2023. The villages are located under Pa-O Self-Administered Special Zone (6).

The KNDF and PDF terrorists encroached into the region; then, abducted the Pa-O civilians to use as human shields; destroyed the residential houses and properties; and also took coverage of the religious buildings as the their defend fronts. Last but not least, the terrorists KNDF and PDF robbed money, jewelries and valuable belongings of the Pa-O villagers, the condemnation said.

In addition, the PNO confirmed that the terrorists KNDF and PDF also committed the ruthless mass murder against the innocent civilians of Pa-O ethnic from Taung Mae Thin Village and Nam Nain Village.  Again, the KNDF and PDF conducted arson attacks on the residential houses and religious infrastructures. These militant KNDF groups assassinated three Buddhist monks (Sanghas) including the presiding Buddhist Monk of the Nam Nain Village Monetary.

The Pa-O National Organization highlighted that the KNDF and PDF brutal terrorists’ acts are conducted intentionally to create spark on racial and religious conflicts.

“These militant KNDF and PDF are committing inhumane crimes. Therefore, we, the PNO, strongly condemn on this merciless massacre on our people” the PNO announced.
