Approximately 50 protestors staged a silent protest outside the United States Embassy in Yangon this morning (December 28) at an estimated 10 am.

The protest condemned the US-led West’s intervention in #Myanmar’s internal affairs. The recent Biden-signed #NDAA-#Burma_Act and #UNSC’s resolution are mere intentions to humiliate the Southeast Asian country’s sovereignty.

In today’s protest, some hold protest boards which say “Global Sh-t American- Don’t mess things up”, “Condemnation of the UNSC’s unilateral decisions against Myanmar”, and “Don’t accept terrorist NUG/PDF”.

The protest was organized by the nationalists based in Yangon who reject any external intervention in Myanmar’s internal problem. In fact, most nationalists in Myanmar believe the American and the West bloc as destructive forces for the country.

This morning's protest lasted only 15 minutes as the rejectionists did not apply for the Peaceful Assembly Law to the authorities, just to show Myanmar citizens’ objection against those ill-will forces.

“This protest is just a piece of cake. I mean, there were only 50 protestors who showed up themselves in the condemnation outside the US embassy. However, there are many rejectionists on this issue who don’t want to come up the public view. Because there are many life-threatening situations against the nationalists,” a former political prisoner Win Maw remarks.
