DMH expects temperature rising across country after Thingyan Festival

It is reported that the temperature can rise across the country after Thingyan Festival.
Due to the weather conditions across the country, the temperature can rise further, according to the director of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH).
“The weather can be hotter. It is 42 degrees at the central regions. It may increase to more 2 or 3 degrees as usual,” Hla Htun, the director of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology told NP News.
Temperature is rising at the global scale and therefore, it may continue rising after Thingyan period, he said.
“It’s summer you know. It’s really hot. Now, it’s April, the middle of summer. The temperature is still low before Thingyan. But it will be hotter after Thingyan,” the director of DMH added.
Director Hla Tun said that people should be careful to avoid heatstroke due to the high temperature and not to go out during the hottest times of the day (12:00 pm) to (3:00 pm) in the afternoon.
Similarly, the Ministry of Health also announced tips to be aware of in advance on the rising temperature.
