The State Administration Council (SAC) announced that a 20 to 25 years old #Bryde_Whale was stranded and found dead on a beach located in Kyunsu Township in Tanintharyi Region.

It was found at the northern shore of Linnlyun Village, Don Pearl Aww Village Tract in Kyunsu Township on 4th February.

The whale is about 40 feet long and 8 feet wide.

The Bryde Whale can live up to 40 to 70 years old. However, the current whale may be aged only 20 to 25 years old, according to the Department of Marine Science.

That Whale died not because of injury or wounds but because of bad weather and changes in currents. Due to these natural processes, it stranded at the shore where the freshwater ratio is high and finally it died.

It is reported that the deceased whale was systematically buried on the Linnlyun Village shore by local people and responsible persons from Ka Naung Security Brunch and Don Pearl Aww village administrator and his team.
