Government plans to re-develop housings that were destroyed in tornado
Khit / Yoon (NP News) - April 24
The Chairman of the State Administration Council, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, urged to re-develop systematically for the housings that were destroyed in the strong wind and tornado happened in Lewe township, Naypyidaw.
Senior General told it during his visit to Lewe on the next day after the tornado hit on April 21. The tornado hit on April 21 at an estimated 6:30 pm.
Hence, a total of 155 houses, one school, one clinic, one monastery in Aungmyinkone village and 77 houses and one school in Tada-U village were grounded in the Tornado.
The tornado hit two villages in Central Myanmar leaving wrecks in the villages. A total of 155 residential houses, one school, one clinic, one monastery in Aung Myin Kone Village and 77 residential houses and one monastery in Tada-U were grounded in the tornado. Six died and 113 others were injured in the disaster.
Senior General also urged to re-construct the schools that were destroyed in the disaster before next academic year. He granted financial aids to the tornado victims.
Injured persons in the tornado were provided medical treatment at Naypyidaw General Hospital (1000) Bedded.
