Sagaing suffers in trauma of war; over 1000 houses from 4 villages torched
NP News – March 7
Upper part of the mainland Myanmar, #Sagaing Region, turned into front line despite of mixing with the civilians under the name of #urban_guerrilla by the #PDF_terrorists.
At least 1000 residential houses from four villages in Yinmabin Township were set ablaze by the armed forces as the cost of war which forced the villagers and residents run and displace, according to the local people.
Four villages in Yinmabin Township: Kone Ywar, Myauknone village, Gabaing village and Myayeik village were destroyed by fire in the first week of March.
“PDFs made destructive actions by the authority of their missions. To respond this, the Military defends and conducts the security operations too. It’s like striking a hive. The war won’t differentiate who are the villagers and who are the terrorists since all are mixing at the front line. The villagers have to displace. Otherwise, the PDFs will accuse of them as the informers (locally called Dalan). So, the villagers have to run in those hostile situations,” a man from Yinmabin told NP News.
As per information, over 700 houses from Kone Ywar where there are 800 houses were burned down in the conflict in recent days.
Similarly, a total of 109 houses in Myauknone village where there are 230 houses and over 100 houses in Myayeik village were also destroyed in the fire.
In addition, 200 houses in Gabaing village where there are approximately 1000 houses were also torn down by the fire.
“Apart from the armed forces, all civilians are in danger and people are the victims in current situation,” a resident said.
Villagers are now encountering difficulties not only in safely living but also in food availability.
A local man said, the Military should disclose its good will for the civilians and should organize the villagers; then to conduct security operations systematically.
