Tatmadaw announces ammunition columns to PDF from Laiza and main communication channels cut off

The State Administration Council released information that the Tatmadaw cut off insurgents’ military columns that were designated to furnish weapons and ammunitions supplied by KIA to PDF terrorists who have been conducting terrorist acts, illegal logging and taking military bases in villages within Shwegu Township in Kachin State.
According to the information, the State troops conducted aerial and artillery operations for the regional security from 23rd March to 8th April.
The report said the State troops raided terrorists’ military bases that were footholds in Man Wein, Sitha, Mankhar, Sithaung, Simugyi, Simulay, Ton Kaut, Ywathikone and Nang Lang villages 21 times.
According to the SAC announcement, the terrorists used concrete drains as communication channels. They built the defensive camps with fortified pits which were purportedly deceiving the enemies as the residential village; constructed sand bunkers under the bridges; and built defensive sandbags in the Buddhist monastery compound.
The PDF terrorists defended and intense crossfire were occurred during the military operations.
The military forces accomplished the mission in the operations; the terrorists’ bases were full controlled by the military where the KIA and PDF allied forces use the central point for ammunition supplies and illegal logging paths.
On the way of KIA and PDF retreated, they burnt down the residential houses in the villages and the military members put out their arsons, according to reports.
Not only the ammunition supplies and illegal logging hub of the KIA and PDF terrorists, it was an accomplishment over their main communication channel, as per the SAC announcement, that is used as the transit for sending youths to attend terrorist training camps in Laiza in producing PDF terrorists.
In addition, the underground transportation routes that were made as links to the KIA brigade (8) Darr Wal area was also taken under the control by the military.
As per the evidences on ground, the KIA troops that were seized in the operation was originated the KIA Battalion (12) which was defeated by the State troops within Man Kan area in 2017. That former KIA Battalion (12) tried to re-establish its military base again in Shwegu Township at the current situation.
As per the latest information, Tatmadaw troops are conducting military operations for the regional security within the surrounding villages.
