Few days ahead of Myanmar’s traditional #Water_Festival, the #PDF_terrorists are bombing and making attempts to bomb near the water splashing pavilions across the country; authorities are conducting investigations and operations to seize the terrorists who try to destroy the country’s traditional Water Festival. 

An explosion took place near the Thingyan Water Pavilion in North Dagon Township in Yangon Region on April 9 at an estimated 9 am. The bomb went off about 200 feet away from the pavilion in 29th Ward, Northern Dagon Township, as per reports. 

No injury and fatality occurred in the terror incident happened in North Dagon Township.  

On April 10, Tatmadaw counter-terrorism forces seized a bomb that had exploded yet near Yangon’s People’s Square Park. The counter-terrorism team defused and deactivated the bomb for ensuring not to harm the public. 

The Yangon Region Government designated the People’s Square Park to convene the Walking Thingyan. There are water splashing pavilions representing governmental departments and ministries in the People’s Square Park. 

On April 9 and 10, bombs went off in Sangyoung Township, Yangon Region and Paungde Township, Mandalay Region in order to threaten the public not to participate in the Buddhist’s traditional Water Festival.  

The underground PDF terrorists namely Dark Shadow (YGN UG) declared and threatened that they are planning to impose attacks at the Water Festival pavilions, fanfares and celebrations for the upcoming Myanmar New Year Water Festival. 

On the other hand, the Yangon Region Government has been preparing celebrations and entertainments, with tight security measures, for the upcoming Myanmar’s traditional Water Festival.
