Ta’ang terrorists demolish a Buddhist pagoda at the entrance of Namsang, northern Shan State

The Ta’ang terrorists ‘TNLA’ demolished a pagoda with backhoe located at the entrance of Namsang Township, the State Administration Council (SAC) confirmed. The terrorists reportedly have demolished the Buddhist pagoda since 10 Jan.
Worst of all, the Ta’ang terrorists took all relics enshrined in the pagoda.
The demolished pagoda was built by Palaung Sawboagyi Maha Tharay Sithu Sao Khun Pan Sein in the bygone era. The regional Tatmadaw battalions and local peoples conducted renovations and offering gold foils to the pagoda later over the years.
At present, the TNLA terrorists have not released any statement yet with regard to demolishing of the pagoda in Namsang Township.
Similarly, the MNDAA terrorists also demolished a Buddhist stupa at Hsiaw Village in Laukkai Township on 8 January. The MNDAA terrorists admitted that they demolished the stupa with sledge hammer and apologized to the Buddhists on later days.
The SAC stated that the terrorists are intentionally attacking the Buddhist temples, pagodas, statues, Buddhist religious buildings by dropping bombs and shelling with heavy weapons.
Buddhist monks, Buddhists and religious organizations have protested and denounced the terrorists’ destructions of Buddhist pagodas, stupas and monasteries.
