Myanmar aims Naypyitaw State Academy as top university in the country

The Ministry of Education expects the Naypyitaw State Academy to become a high-rank university in Myanmar, as the Union Minister for Education highlighted it in his speech during the visit to the Naypyitaw State Academy on 21 December.
The Union Minister said, “We aim this Naypyitaw State Academy to be a top rank university in Myanmar. Both teachers and students should try continuously for upgrading skills in a regular basis.”
Naypyitaw State Academy was opened on November 9, 2022 with seven faculties, and is the first comprehensive university in Myanmar.
The seven faculties are Faculty of Arts, Science, Economy, Law, Medical Science, Social and Sports.
The Faculty of Medical Sciences was opened last November in cooperation with the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Ministry of Health (MOH).
The school was opened with the aim of enabling the children of civil staffs families working in Naypyidaw, as well as the children of local residents from eight townships in Naypyidaw, to choose and study a variety of advanced academics at an international level.
In addition, the MOE has authorized more than 2,400 education staffs to conduct teaching, and subject experts working in various departments in Naypyidaw have been teaching.
