At least 25 lost lives in extrajudicial killings within a week; mostly in Bago and Mandalay
NSS – Dec 13
According to the Myanmar Police Force, at least 25 people were killed in arbitrary killings across the country within one week; most cases happened in Bago and Mandalay regions.
The figure accounted between 1 December and 9 December.
The report states that a total of eight from the Bago Region; six from the Mandalay Region; three from the Sagaing Region; three from the Magway Region; and five from other states and regions respectively were murdered within 8 days throughout the country.
Victims were mostly killed by the terrorists as alleged informers (locally called ‘Dalan’).
A volunteer of the charity remarked on the ongoing extrajudicial killings, “Since we are Myanmar, there shouldn’t be such rude and cruel killings. The average people, all want to live in peace and tranquility. We cannot accept those arbitrary killings as a citizen.”
In addition, the report further states that there were at least 17 explosions that occurred by drop bomb attacks across the country, in which two died whereas 23 others were wounded.
More than 6,700 civilians have been killed in the extrajudicial killings by terrorists since 2021 political transitions. The majority of those outlaw killings were committed by the PDF terrorist's so-called armed revolution.
Victims were involved ranging from Buddhist monks, civil servants, village and ward administrators, political party members, and ordinary citizens.
