U.S. based GTTAC states PDF terrorists responsible for terror incidents in Myanmar

The Global Terrorism Trends and Analysis Center (GTTAC) of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Counterterrorism issued the report on global terrorist incidents in 2022.
Myanmar is listed in top ten countries with most terrorist incidents in it.
The report reveals four main groups as the most responsible entities for the terrorist acts happening in Myanmar in 2022 and 2021; which are Chinland Defense Force (CDF), Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF), Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and People’s Defense Force (PDF).
Although there were hundreds of terrorist incidents happened in Myanmar in 2021, 2022 and 2023 as per the ground information, the report, as far as they can reach, states that there were 391 incidents in Myanmar with a total of 2,130 fatalities; which shares a ten percent of total global fatalities.
The report points out that the PDF terrorists are the main perpetrators of those terror acts happened in Myanmar in 2022, responsible for 198 incidents. It is exactly a half of all extrajudicial killings in Myanmar.
In addition, the CDF terrorists are responsible for 29 incidents; the KNDF for 27 incidents; and the remaining incidents are committed by unknown groups.
What is more, the report also states that shootings, landmines or Improvise Explosive Devices, and bombings are the major tactics.
According to the ground situation, those devastating destructive works of the PDF terrorists involved arbitrary killings to innocent civilians, unarmed village or ward administrators, teachers, healthcare workers, and political party members and chairman.
