According to the statistics released by the State Administration Council, a total of more than 12 million students have enrolled until four days of the school admission week (as of May 26) for 2023-24 Academic Year. 

The figure ‘12 million students’ is more than the number of total students in previous academic year 7 million. 

The school admission week has been kicked off on May 23 for this academic year across the country. 

There are 4,760,642 students who enrolled only on May 26 at schools including public schools, private schools and monastic education schools all over the country. 

From first day to third day of admission week (from May 23 to 25), there were 7,826,851 student enrolments at schools. 

Therefore, total number of student enrolments reaches 12,587,493 as of the fourth day, according to the data released by the SAC. 

There were 5,609,676 student enrolments in last year school admission week for 2022-23 Academic Year. 

There have been threats, fears and intimidations on school enrolment especially to those parents and students who enroll at the government or public schools by the NUG affiliated PDF terrorists. 

Schoolteachers of both genders, headmasters and headmistresses have been killed by the PDF terrorists for opening schools in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
