The State Administration Council announced that three Chinese naval vessels have arrived at Thilawa Port in Yangon to participate in a maritime security exercise.

It is reported that Destroyer Zibo (Destroyer), Frigate Jing Zhou, and Qian Dao Hu (a replenishment ship) from the People’s Liberation Army’s 44th Navy Escort Task Group (ETG) arrived at Thilawa Port in Yangon on 27th November. 

Major General Zaw Min Tun stated, "The three Chinese vessels have arrived in Yangon for a goodwill visit. I would like to state that they are here for goodwill, and they plan to engage in bilateral friendly sports competitions."

It has been reported that the delegations will tour significant locations in Yangon, in addition to participating in a maritime security exercise.

A total of 700 naval task force members are on board to tour prominent locations in Yangon, and they will also take part in friendly sports matches.

Additionally, on November 25th, the Chinese military conducted routine exercises in southern China along the Myanmar-China border to enhance stability and security in the border areas.

Likewise, three Russian Navy destroyers arrived in Yangon to conduct the first Myanmar-Russia maritime security exercise in the Andaman Sea from November 7 to 9.

Currently, within the Southeast Asian navy sphere, the Myanmar Navy has the capability to manufacture Frigate warships at its own dockyard, reportedly possessing three frigate warships.
