The State Administration Council responded to the sabotage act by the TNLA on the Duthwati Kyinthi Bridge, constructed between Hsipaw and Kyaukme townships, stating that it was an intentional insult to the people.

On the 12th of November, TNLA and its affiliated insurgents detonated explosives, causing the destruction of the Kyinthi Bridge that connects Hsipaw and Kyaukme townships in northern Shan State.

A local resident informed NSS, "The bridge was detonated, but it didn't break into halves. Nevertheless, the structure suffered severe damage, leading to the suspension of any further crossings."

Local residents also emphasized that the sabotaged bridge holds significant importance in northern Shan State for transportation and trade.

It is reported that TNLA and its affiliated group attacked the security outpost near Kyinthi Bridge in the early morning and then the bridge was blown up with mines.  

Major General Zaw Min Tun, the spokesperson of the State Administration Council, commented, "The bridge is part of the Mandalay-Muse Union Highway. Terrorist groups are targeting civilian properties, as this recent act of sabotage directly impacts a crucial transportation route for the local population. This is not a military target; it is a deliberate attack on civilian property."

It has been reported that armed conflicts have erupted between the Myanmar Military and TNLA near Nawngkio township, resulting in certain roads being inaccessible due to the ongoing hostilities.

The border tradi routes in northeast of  Shan State have reportedly ceased operations due to the ongoing armed conflicts.
