 Myanmar and Indian authorities signed Quick Impact Projects (QIP) that involve three MoUs for three projects including for the Electrification of Rural Villages by Small Wind Energy in Kungyangon Township, according to the announcement made by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations. 

The signing ceremony was conducted at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations in Naypyidaw on November 6th. 

The Memorandum of Understanding for Water Supply utilizing Solar Power in Drought-Affected Villages within the Central Dry Zone of Myanmar, as well as the Memorandum of Understanding for the Departmental e-library Project, were jointly signed by Thein Toe, Director-General of the Dry Zone Greening Department and Environmental Conservation Department at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, and Mr. Ashish Sharma, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India.

In addition, the Memorandum of Understanding for the Electrification of Rural Villages by Small Wind Energy in Kungyangon Township, Yangon, was also signed by Nwe Ni, Director-General of the Department of Advanced Science and Technology at the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Mr. Ashish Sharma, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India.

The Indian Government will contribute $150,000 to support water supply through solar power in drought-affected villages of Myanmar's Central Dry Zone and to provide electricity to both e-Library and rural villages in Kungyangon using wind power.

It has been reported that the Quick Impact Project (QIP) allocates $50,000 for each project, and ongoing discussions with the Indian Government are aimed at further supporting Myanmar's socioeconomic development through similar initiatives.
