The Russian Defence Minister discussed bilateral military cooperation with Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Mali and Central Africa during the talks in the sideline meeting of the ARMY 2024 International Military and Technical Forum, according to the statement released by the Russian Ministry of Defence on 13 August. 

Myanmar’s Union Minister of Defence Admiral Tin Aung San attended the event. The two counterparts discussed the current state and prospects for developing bilateral military cooperation. 

The Russian defence minister Andrei Belousov held a number of bilateral meetings with his counterparts who arrived in Moscow to attend the ARMY 2024 forum; and exchanged views on the most challenging issues of the international situation and regional security, the statement said.

Over twenty companies reportedly demonstrated their products in full-scale systems, mock-ups and scaled models of military equipment as well as civilian products at the ARMY 2024, as per the statement released by the Tactical Missiles Corporation.
