Kokang terrorists group named Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) forcibly arrests the youths who fled from war from Laukkai and recruits them as their troops, the State Administration Council (SAC) said. 

Spokesperson of the SAC Major General Zaw Min Tun addressed in his explanations about current situations in Myanmar to the news media on 2 December. 

Three northern alliance terrorists led by the MNDAA, including Ta’ang troops (TNLA) and Rakhine insurgents (AA) launched the Operation 1027 on 27 October in northern Shan State with massive troop forces. 

At present, clashes are happening in the surrounding places of Laukkai City between State troops and the terrorists MNDAA. Therefore, locals and migrant workers in the city left Laukkai. 

“Those who work in Laukkai, especially the ages between 15 and 40 years old, were not released. The MNDAA detained them to force them to serve in their terrorist troops. Mostly, Shan and Ta’ang ethnics are recruited,” Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun said. 

He remarked that those troops are heading the country to utter devastation though they cover themselves under federal revolution.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing reportedly said that the armed insurgents and terrorists will be suppressed.
