Armed conflicts in Loikaw, Kayah State are still ongoing and getting tense between Tatmadaw and armed terrorists. 

A local resident reported that the armed conflict persists in northern and southern areas of Loikaw Township, and around the prison on 20 November.  

A resident from Loikaw mentioned, "There are numerous crossfires, particularly in northern part of the township near the monastery, and Battalion Number 54 from the southern region. Additionally, armed clashes have been occurring near the Loikaw prison."

Additionally, on November 11 (under the name of Operation 11.11), KNPP and PDF launched an attack on military and security outposts in Loikaw, deploying a disproportionate number of forces.

In the course of the operation, the KNPP and their affiliated terrorists PDFs also seized control of the northern section of Loikaw Township, Naungyar ward, and Loikaw University.

Presently, the Myanmar Military is engaged the counter-terrorism operation within those regions, recounted by the local sources.

The armed conflicts in Loikaw have resulted in the displacement of numerous locals, forcing them to flee their homes. These civilians are seeking refuge in southern Shan State.

Furthermore, amid the armed conflicts, numerous civilians lost their lives, and substantial damage was inflicted upon civilian properties and infrastructure.
