The State Administration Council (SAC) has declared that Kunlong Township in Shan State remains under control, with Myanmar Military forces actively and resolutely defending the area.

Major General Zaw Min Tun, the spokesperson of the SAC, told NSS on November 10th.

It has been reported that the MNDAA insurgents have been launching attacks on security outposts around Kunlong Township for nearly five days, utilizing massive forces.

Major General Zaw Min Tun said “Armed clashes have persisted in Kunlong for almost five days. The current military forces in Kunlong are vigorously defending the township, and reinforced troops have been deployed. That place is a strategically critical area. We are defending the place with our utmost efforts.”

He further emphasized that the insurgent groups, led by MNDAA, are aggressively assaulting Kunlong Township with massively outnumbered forces, primarily employing aerial drop bombs.

Furthermore, members of the PDF, wearing MNDAA uniforms, are also reported having taken part in the attacks on security outposts in Kunlong Township.

The Ministry of Defense of the self-proclaimed National Unity Government (NUG) has released the news that the MNDAA has confirmed the raid on Kunlong Township.

Continuing, he remarked, "Regarding this news, what I would like to emphasize is that they are intentionally spreading propaganda to serve their vested interests. It is crucial for people not to believe in their propagandas."

Commencing on October 27th in the name of ‘Operation 1027’, the MNDAA, TNLA, and AA initiated attacks on security outposts in northern Shan State. Additionally, reports indicate that the KIA and PDF have also taken part in those assaults.

The spokesperson for the SAC stated, "In Theinni, certain places have been occupied by insurgents, leading to the destruction of road access. The Myanmar Military is currently engaged in road maintenance efforts and implementing security measures."

It has been reported that the special event marking the opening of the Kunlong new bridge, a joint endeavor between Myanmar and China, was initially scheduled for November 11th. However, due to ongoing armed conflicts, the inauguration ceremony of the Kunlong new bridge has been temporarily suspended.
