The 7th conference on establishing peace along the shared border between Myanmar and China following clashes between insurgent groups and Myanmar military was held by the delegation from China led by China’s public security minister H.E Mr. Wang Xiaohong and Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Home Affairs Lieutenant General Yar Pyae. 

The conference was held on October 30 in Naypyidaw. Union Minister for Home Affairs Lieutenant General Yar Pyae, Deputy Minister and Police Chief Ni Linn Aung, Deputy Minister General Toe Yi, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Lwin Oo, Deputy Minister for Immigration and Population Htay Hlaing, and relevant high-rank officials from Myanmar side and a Chinese delegation led by China’s public security minister H.E Mr. Wang Xiaohong, totally 42 attended it. 

During the discussion, peace and stability on border territories, improving law enforcement and security cooperation, and implementing the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation 5-year project (2023-2027) were discussed. 

In addition, both sides discussed ways to combat transnational crimes such as human trafficking, online scams, cyber-crimes, money laundry, bets, and gambling on the borderline, and drug smugglings were discussed. 

Moreover, signing the MoU for enhancing law enforcement, regional stability and security cooperation in accordance with laws and procedures, and establishing a communication system between the two relevant ministries from both countries so as to exchange information in a timely manner to prevent and combat transnational crimes were discussed.
