Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Services of Myanmar Senior General Min Aung Hlaing remarked, during the event of 8th Anniversary of Signing Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement, that some countries are encouraging to establish the dictatorship under the name of democracy. 

The grand ceremony of the 8th Anniversary of the NCA was held at MICC-2 in Naypyidaw yesterday. 

In Myanmar, armed troops were emerged due to the divide and rule and instigation made by the imperialists between ethnics; and the notion of ‘independence of ethnicities’ that was incited by the Communist Party of Burma after independence. 

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said, “The EAOs were emerged as the results of different political paradigms. Those differences in political views weren’t resolved via political aspects. Instead, they were resolved by armed-resistance.” 

He continued that those who claimed themselves of building democracy committed the electoral fraud. They failed to resolve the crisis in line with law and democracy but underwent the armed conflicts. Likewise, some foreign countries that claimed themselves as protecting the democracy system directly or indirectly encourage the terrorism and armed conflicts.
