Chinese Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Deng Xijun attended the event of Myanmar’s 8th Anniversary of signing Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA 8th Anniversary) in Naypyidaw yesterday and delivered a speech. 

The Chinese special envoy expressed that peace means the common interests of the entire people of Myanmar. China supports the peace process of Myanmar, saying “We wish to actively support Myanmar by playing a constructive role in calling for peace dialogues on the basis of full respect for the sovereignty and needs of Myanmar.”

He also highlighted that China has always highly valued the traditional bonds of friendship between the two countries. China will continue to promote the mutual friendship by working side by side with Myanmar as reliable cooperative partner. 

In addition, he appreciated Myanmar’s efforts to safeguard the national integrity, and the legitimate rights and interests in the international arenas and to choose its own development path that suits Myanmar.
