The Union Minister from the Ministry of Hotel and Tourism informed to prepare in advance as a large number of Chinese tourists are arriving Myanmar. 

The Union Minister Thet Thet Khaing made a speech at the meeting held at Jade hall at the department of Ministry on August 28. 

According to the announcement of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in China, there will be a large number of Chinese tourists coming in Myanmar therefore, Thet Thet Khaing urged to the relevant authorities to make preparations for their arrival. 

In addition, she continued that to prepare in advance to facilitate spending money by Chinese tourists, language and accommodation before the travel season so that Chinese tourists can visit the travel destinations in Myanmar conveniently.

Similarly, travel agencies including companies should make efforts to attract the Chinese travelers and to achieve market, according the Union Minister. 

In addition, she also urged to make effort for entering more tourists from the ASEAN countries including China, India and Russia which are the members of travel market. 

Myanmar has relaxed visa on China to enter more Chinese visitors and invited Chinese investors who have desire to invest in Myanmar for the development of Hotel and Tourism sector. 

In previous financial year of 2022-2023, a total of 367,368 foreign travelers has entered Myanmar and 48,342 Chinese travelers were included, according to the statistics of the Ministry.  

Myanmar is trying to attract more Chinese travelers, and in order to provide better tourism services, the ministry is also providing basic Chinese speaking courses.
