Authorities succeed in rescue operation that saves 30 lives in Sagaing

The State Administration Council (SAC) released an announcement that a total of 30 abductees who were abducted by the PDF terrorists in Sagaing Region have been now rescued. The abductees involved recently kidnapped firefighters and their families.
The statement announced it on August 9.
The victims were abducted by PDF terrorists under the command of exile NUG on August 5 at an estimated 4 pm. The PDF terrorists abducted 21 residents with cows, sheep, and goats including charts forcibly at the western part of Bonekone village.
Then, the PDF terrorists threatened and forced the villagers to pick up the victims with money; therefore, the villagers informed the territorial army for help.
Thus, the security forces started an investigation, and operation and raided the temporary camp of the PDF terrorists in Ywarthan village, Khin-U township on August 9 at an estimated 1 am, according to the SAC's statement.
Then, the abducted 29 innocent civilians and one fireman by terrorists were rescued by the security forces at 5:10 am at Bonekone village, as per the statement.
In addition, three launchers, 42 bombs, 12 rockets, four handmade guns, various types of 16 mines, and related explosive items were seized, the SAC's statement said.
