The leader of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) Lt-Gen Yar Pyae received the meeting with the Special Envoy form China in Naypyidaw.

The meeting was held on July 27 at the office of Union Government Ministry in Naypyidaw.

Cooperation between Myanmar and China, stability in border regions and implementation on the process of peace for Myanmar were discussed in the meeting.

The Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Deng Xijun once visited Myanmar in March 2023 and met with the Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC), Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. 

Mr. Deng Xijun also met with 7 EAOs including UWSA at Myanmar-China border before the meeting with Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the Chinese Special Envoy discussed the conditions of peace talks with EAOs for the border region and internal stability, as well as the conditions of China's assistance in the peace process.

It is reported that the Chinese Special Envoy, Mr. Deng Xijun will potentially meet with the detained Aung San Suu Kyi during this visit. 

 At present, China is assisting in the peace process of Myanmar as China desires stability and peace in Myanmar, the SAC expressed.
