The Deputy Director General of the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation National Coordination Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Win Zeyar Tun, remarked that the LMC is continuously uplifting the regional peace and sustainable development.

He addressed it during the workshop that was held in Naypyidaw on 25th July on establishing network to maintain scarce books, literatures and heritages at the libraries of the LMC countries.   

He also commented that “The Lancang-Mekong Cooperation is the most effective cooperation mechanism in the region,” continuing that it is effectively uplifting the regional peace, prosperity the sustainable development. 

Socio-cultural exchange is the third pillar of the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation.

He also informed that Myanmar, as one of the members of the LMC countries, is willing to cooperate with other LMC members in promoting social and economic development and increasing psychological contract among the public of each other. 

The workshop was aimed to share experiences and techniques to maintain the literary heritages so as to formulate preserving cultural heritages within the LMC region.
