The leader and his unmarried intimate partner were seized by the security forces in Chan Aye Tharzan township, Mandalay Region on 8th July, 2023, according to the statement released by the State Administration Council (SAC).

The terrorist couple, who were identified as Nyein Chan Aung (aka) Arr Thit and Pa Pa Win, was arrested at a clinic in Haymarzala ward located in Chan Aye Tharzan Township.

As per confession by Nyein Chan Aung, the urban PDF terrorist group with the name of “Devil PDF” was formed with 20 members including Pa Pa Win and others who still remain to be arrested, known as, L. Naung, Yati, Kyone Gyi, Ko Gye, D Pa, Kywal Gyi and Ko Myo. 

The group committed terrorist acts in Mandalay Region after they attended the terrorist training at KNLA brigade (2) in January 2022; then, conducted many indirect terrorisms of random attacking the civilians in urban areas. 

The terrorist couple with cohabitation conducted extrajudicial killings against village and ward administrators four times and two explosions in the public sites with assistance by L. Naung, Yati, Kyone Gyi, Ko Gye, D Pa, Kywal Gyi and Ko Myo (who are remaining to seize) in Pathein Gyi township, according to the arrested criminals’ confessions. 

In addition, the “Devil PDF” page on Facebook collect money through social media and also asked for help from the exile NUG and NUG’s supporters to buy weapons and bombs for conducting the terrorist acts in public sites.

The statement said that the arrested criminals will be charged under the law effectively since conducted the disturbance on peace and stability of the State, according to the statement.
