As per reports, the Arakan Liberation Party stated that recently assassinated persons near Sittwe University were identified the ALP’s vice chairman, battalion commander and the rifle man.

The Arakan Liberation Party (ALP) led by Saw Mra Raza Lin stated it on July 2. 

The vice chairman of ALP namely Khain Yaungni, battalion commander of 101 ALA and the rifle man called Khaing Kyaw Min and Kyaw Kyaw Naing were assassinated in front of the Sittwe University on July 1 at an estimated 12 pm, as per the statement. All three were reportedly assassinated on their way back from the meeting held on the development of Rakhine State and matters related to the rescue activities for Mocha cyclone affected areas.

The ALP firmed stated that the Arakan Army killed three officers of the ALP on purpose. 

The ALP, in the statement, strongly condemned the assassination committed by the ULA/AA for the benefit of the Rakhine people. 

There was an incident of assassination on 4th January 2023 in which the ALP commander Khain Soe Mya and two others were shot dead. The ALP, at that time, stated that the assassination was committed by the AA.
