NSPNC, 5 NCA-S-EAOs agree to hold peace conference in three-day discussion

It is reported that some of the common grounds and agreements were attained after three-day discussion between National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) and five NCA signatory EAOs.
The discussion was held on 26th, 27th and 28th June by responsible personnel from the NSPNC and ALP, DKBA, KNU/KNLA-PC, LDU, and PNLO ethnic armed organizations in Naypyidaw.
The EAO side released the news that the discussion topics were related to the points to be amended in the 2008 Constitution, the issue of holding a peace conference, regional stability, and the fight against drugs.
It is also reported that the common agreements made by the EAOs were presented at the meeting and could ratify some of the facts.
The spokesperson of the five EAOs Saw Mra Raza Lin of Arakan Liberation Party (ALP) confirmed to the NP News saying “This is the ongoing peace talk that we have been through. Both sides believed to have such peace conference in this ongoing process.”
During the three-day discussion, they signed four final agreements in principle and signed five functional points, she added.
She continued by saying that “It is much more successful than the informal discussion. We need to continue doing such kind of discussions. By doing so, our mutual trust can be strengthened and it would be easier to find a way out of these conflicts.”
It is also reported that during the meeting they could talk over the implementation of a multiparty democratic system, a democratic federal nation, and matters relating to nation-building and state stability.
