The State Administration Council (SAC)’s information team released the news that seven PDF terrorists from Khayan Township, Yangon, who are conducting terrorist acts in Khayan Township, Yangon Region, were captured together with explosive devices and ammunitions. 

On 19th April, the security operation was conducted around Pauk Taw village in Thanlyin Township. 

During the security operation, Khayan PDF members: including Ye Htway was captured together with one AK-47, one type-056 gun, one Glock – 19, five different types of cartridges, (68) of 7.62 bullet, (369) of 9mm bullets and 15 of point 380 bullets.  

According to his confession, another PDF terrorist members namely, Htet Ye Lin, Soe Htet Aung and Kyaw Min Htet were captured from Room number (409), 4th floor, Bloc (C), Mue Deet Tar Housing on Upper Baho Road in Mayangone Township on 22nd April. 

According to the confession made by Kyaw Min Htet, another PDF terrorist members, Moe Pyae Sone Kyaw, Aung Myo Lwin and Thant Zin Oo were captured from Room (A), 4th Floor, Bloc (36), on Bo Aung Kyaw Road, Bo Tun Zan ward in Daww Pone Township on the same evening. 

According to the confession made by Htet Ye Lin, grenade launcher, bombs, hand grenades, different bullets and their cartridges were captured at the fields between Nyaung Pin village and Alae village and Sae Kyee Kone Village in Thone Khwa township and Ma Gyee Kone village in Khayan township on 23rd April.  Also on 24th April, another ammunitions and guns including handmade grenades, launcher, bombs, different types of bullets and their cartridges were captured hidden under the haystacks from the western side of KanThar village in Khayan township.     

Throughout the operation, altogether 7 PDF terrorists, 18 guns in different types, 30 cartridges in different types, 1607 bullets, (24) of 40 mm grenade and 6 handmade grenades were seized.   

Under the instruction of the group leader Tun Tun Win, who still escape, they have committed three times of assassinations and 15 armed assaults. These terrorists are supported by Tun Tun Win by about 100,000 kyats per month. When they have successfully accomplished their terrorist missions, they were given from 200,000 to 300,000 kyat as reward. 

According to their confessions, they admitted that they have assassinated Myint Soe who is from Dae Pauk village on 10th March 2022, Win Naing who is from Gwe Pin Chaung village in Khayan township on 12th November and Myo Zaw Oo who is from Kan Bae Ward 1 in Khayan township on 30th March. 

The SAC also said that those who were captured will be taken serious legal actions and they are trying investigate other accomplices to these terrorist acts.
