Two navies of Myanmar and China have been conducting jointly drills for air, missile and maritime defences. 

The two navies have departed for the sea area on 1 December where the drills will be conducted, the State Administration Council (SAC) announced. 

“Chinese People’s Liberation Army (Navy) left for the sea together with the Myanmar Navy and started the military training. The training will continue tomorrow. Over there, the cooperation training will be conducted for air defense, maritime defense and underwater defenses,” the spokesperson of the SAC, Major General Zaw Min Tun said. 

A total of 700 Chinese military officers together with 44th PLA Navy Escort Task Group (ETG) warships such as the destroyer Zi Bo, the frigate Jing Zhou and the support warship Qian Dao Hu of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA),arrived at Yangon's Thilawa port on November 27. 

In fact, three Russian warships also visited Myanmar for the first time to conduct Myanmar-Russia joint military exercises were also carried out in the Andaman Sea from November 7th to 9th.
