Ministry of Foreign Affairs released the news on bilateral cooperation in three sectors between Myanmar and Qatar including cultural exchanges.   

Myanmar Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Than Swe met with Dr. Rashid Abdulla M.A. Al-Kuwari, Chargé d'affairés of Qatar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Naypyidaw on 20th September. 

During their meeting, they discussed the topic on promoting the existing friendly relations and bilateral cooperations. 

Moreover, they also talked about the areas of trade, investment, and cultural exchanges promoting bilateral cooperation. 

It is also reported that the topic relating to repatriating of the verified displaced persons from Rakhine State. 

In addition, enhancing collaboration in the regional and international arenas, particularly under the frameworks of ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council (ASEAN-GCC) and the United Nations was also discussed. 

Similarly, they also discussed the airline and flights between the two countries last July and explored opportunities for promoting energy, hotel, tourism, investment, and trade between them.
