“The view point places have been restricted since 2016 earthquake. While observing the strength of the pagodas and the damage caused by cyclone Mocha, the SAC’s Chairman said that efforts should be done for visitors for visiting scenery places if the pagodas were strength enough. But he did not say to allow. He guided to make efforts for all to view the scenery of Bagan. But it can’t be opened right now,” the Director Myint Than told NP News.
According to the guidance, the pagodas will be selected to allow for the scenery views of Bagan after discussing with experts.
