Myanmar CIC repeats guarantee for multi-party election
Khit/ Ye Pyae (NSS) – July 12
The Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, repeatedly told that the Tatmadaw is making steadfast efforts steering the country leading to the multi-party democracy path.
Senior General addressed the speech during the meeting with the military officials and their families at Maygawaddy hall including with the officials and troops from the Myanmar Police Forces and their families at Aung Sitti hall.
He continued that the Tatmadaw has assured that the multi-party democratic general election will be held when the country is stable and regains peace.
Moreover, the Army Chief said that Tatmadaw established two national objectives and two political objectives for the sake of the country and those objectives are believed to be accomplished.
At the time being, the country hasn’t yet restored the normalcy though it has been one-year State of Emergency and three more extension of the emergency period till now. Whether the fourth six-month term of State of Emergency or not will be decided at the upcoming National Defense and Security Council meeting that will be held on 31st July.
