The National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) and the five NCA Signatory Ethnic Armed Organisations discussed the matters relating to involvement of the United Wa State Party (UWSP), National Democratic Alliance Army (NDAA), and Shan State Progressive Party (SSPP) in the ongoing peace talk. 

The NSPNC Peace Talks Team led by Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and representatives from ALP, DKBA, KNU/KNLA-PC, LDU and PNLO met in Naypyidaw on 27th June. 

According to the news released by the SAC, the meeting was attended by Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein, and other members.

From the ethnic armed organization side, Chairperson of the Arakan Liberation Party-ALP Saw Mra Raza Lin, Saw Sein Win at the rank of Adjutant-General of Democratic Karen Buddhist Army-DKBA, Vice Chair Dr Naw Kapaw Htoo of KNU/KNLA-Peace Council, Vice Chairman Kya Phoo of Lahu Democratic Union-LDU and Patron Phyar Tan Khun Okkar of Pa-O National Liberation Organization-PNLO and other delegations attended the meeting. 

It is stated that they exchanged matters related to principles of federalism and providing humanitarian aids between the two sides. 

The SAC notified that they also discussed with NCA’s signatories EAOs for the inclusion of the UWSP, NDAA, SSPP, and political parties in the peace process. 

It is reported that the discussion will be continued between the SAC’s NSPNC and five EAOs and the results will be announced on 28th June.
