Myanmar Airways International (MAI) collaborated with strategic partners of Advancing Telecommunication of Myanmar (ATOM) and UAB bank, in addition to rebranding its subsidiary Air KBZ as Mingalar, according to the announcement by Mr. Tanes Kumar, MAI’s Acting Chief Executive Officer and Chief Commercial Officer. 

MAI hosted a momentous event, “MAI FlightForward” at the Lotte Hotel in Yangon on 8 March. 

During the event, the Head of Partnership Management of ATOM, Nwe Nwe Soe launch the MAI Tourist SIM with the purpose of providing convenience communications for domestic and foreign tourists. 

MAI Tourist SIM will provide passengers with affordable price plans and world-class call quality in Myanmar, bundled with unlimited minutes and data. Passengers can conveniently purchase the mentioned SIM card onboard MAI flights and selected authorized Passenger Sales Agents of MAI. 

In addition, UAB launched MAI Extra which is the MAI+UAB Co-branded card that can easily register on UAB’s wallet without charges, according to the Su Nardar Hlaing, Business development and Partnership Manager of UAB. 

Furthermore, MAI officially announced by rebranding its subsidiary, Air KBZ to Mingalar Aviation Services (Mingalar). MAI collaborates with Mingalar operating flights to 13 major destinations with Myanmar.
